I've rewritten and updated this plug-in ( it is also a stand alone program ) software for GabMon3+ first, as it serves more purpose to new non-Pro users who can't upgrade (no payment processor currently) or for what ever reason, don't want to upgrade.
Pro users have the ability to 'Favorite' an unlimited number of individual user accounts and be notified when those users make new posts. That in mind, I don't intend to expand this software any further as far as making it possible to monitor more users. I'd much prefer people upgrade to the Pro version of Gab and support the platform.

| February 27, 2018 | GmM5  ( Gabmon Multi. 5 )

Requires: Win7+/internet connection and possibly admin privileges.

Does NOT Require: Gab.ai user credentials (works w/o being logged in on the platform)

GmM5 is an extension of the original GabMon application that allows non-Pro users to monitor up to five other user account profiles for new posts/Gabs and then be alerted if a new one is detected. This includes posts/re-posts/replies and quotes. GmM5 is intended as a plugin to GabMon3+, but can also run as a stand alone application.

To use it as intended, an extension to GabMon3+, download the .zip file to your desktop (or other preferred location) and then unzip it (right click and 'extract all') to the desktop (or preferred location). Then from inside the GmM5 folder, c&p or 'move' the executable (GmM5.exe) and its accompanying folder (gmpmfiles) to the plugins folder within GabMon3+ (GM3/files/plugins). At this point you can launch the plugins handler within GabMon3+ and you should then see the plugin (GmM5.exe) now listed within the handler.  Simply click the GmM5.exe and it will launch the plugin. Once launched, the plugin is completely independent of GabMon3+ and will keep running even if you close GabMon3+.

To use GmM5 as a stand alone application, simply download the .zip file to your desktop or other preferred location. Unzip the file and go to the GmM5 folder and click the executable GmM5.exe.

NOTE: I personally have a folder at C:\GabApps, which I use for all Gab.ai associated applications. I put the .zip file there and also 'extract all' to there, as this keeps me from cluttering my desk top up with a bunch of files and also allows me to save the .zip file as a back up in the same location as the apps. I then create a shortcut to desktop for the GabMon app. or
pin it to the start menu. This gives me access to GabMon and any/all of its plug-ins via one place on my system.

In the screenshot above you'll see GmM5 monitoring 5 users for new posts/replies/re-posts and quotes. Once you've decided who you'd like to monitor, you can also save that list of users for immediate use when relaunching the program. There are also many options for the alerts within the 'Settings' area for you to choose from, as well as the option to open the users profile page for immediate viewing of their latest posts etc...

There are options also to stop monitoring of individual users once a new posts is detected. By selecting 'none' and 'auto-open profile', you can actually minimize/tray the program and the pop-up of a new browser instance/tab will also serve as a visual 'alert'. When set to none, the program will simply log the alert count in green as seen above. The 'check count' under the green monitor status is basically a count of elapsed minutes the program has been monitoring.
The green alert count for each user is not necessarily the number of posts that have been posted, but rather a count of 'alerts'., for example if someone makes 2 posts in one minute, the counter will log it only as 1 change in the count.

If you run into and problems or have questions, feel free to DM me on Gab.ai or shoot me an email via the link provided here on site.

PS: 5 is the most profiles GmM5 will monitor, so as not to intrude on the appeal of going 'Pro'.
'Pro' users on the Gab.ai platform already have something very similar to this, but as far as I know they can monitor as many people as they want and can monitor 'Live Topics' as well.

As always, GabMon TOS apply.

Enjoy the software and thanks for using GabMon!
