Official Gab News  - Straight from the horses mouth, so to speak.

Site News:

| October 19, 2022 | - I'll be 'flying by the seat of my pants' for the immediate future. You'll find most new content within the blog posts on the Home page. Older content can be found via the 'Gabmon Blog' menu and/or the 'Archives' menu.

| January 21, 2022 | - Kind of changed the front page up a bit to include a few friends websites that I've actually known for a few years. Then I threw in a few groups that I enjoy on Gab and a few recent posts from the blog.

| December 21, 2021 | - Introduction of new area on site: GABMON BLOG in the left menu.
This area contains posts centered around Gab for the most part, including tips/tricks, how to, resources and maybe some trivia etc., etc...  Keep in mind that some of the resources found in the archives might be outdated and in need of updating, which is also on my list and forthcoming at some point in the near future.

| December 6, 2021 | - Going ahead with some information concerning publicly accessible API's at Gab and a few other little 'tid-bits' as well. I've created a '2022' temp. menu at left and am going to go ahead and use it as is.  I've become slightly indignant w/all the negative news concerning the state of our nation, so am going to go ahead and get started updating the site in order to 'occupy' my mind and concentrate on something other than all the negativity.
P.S. My government and big corp. disgust me.

| December 3, 2021 | - Updating site to include Gab tips, tricks, public/private API access, historical trivia, features and anything else I can think of for 2022. Stay tuned...

| January, 20, 2021 |
All downloads have been disabled and I will no longer be releasing software for Gab publicly, period.
(Don't ask)

| January, 11, 2021 | - Below is one of the projects I was working on prior to the great 'Exodus' from main stream social. I'll resume development when the servers become more stable in the (hopefully) near future. You'll find the current d/l for it under the '2021' drop down menu, though it's as unstable as Gab is at the moment.

If you're here to check out what I've done in the past on the platform as far as 3rd party software for non-pro's/analysts etc., just scroll down and read or search through the 'Archives' area.

Stay tuned, as I am currently working on 3 other projects related to Gab to be announced in the near future.

(one bot detection/profiling based and one analytics/use based, the other a simple adventure into the platform by one curious Gabster)

'Things' will resume once the platform has caught up from the 'Exodus' protocol.

Thanks for visiting. Ink

| December 19, 2020 | - Progress update on project below...

| December 12, 2020 |

Project : GrpMon (Gab Group Monitor)

What it does: Alerts group Admins/Mods of new posts and/or member sign up.

That's it, pretty simple tool that enables you to monitor your group.

As  Gab Group Admins/Moderators, to be notified when a new member signs up, or a new post is made to the group. The notification includes a link to the post in the group that will simply open the new member profile/new post in a new tab of default browser for ease of access and assessment.

System Requirements: WIn7+ OS w/admin privileges for running 32bit software.

Features:

Monitors any group for a new post and/or a new user sign up, and alerts you of the action via audio optional/pop-up message box and/or a visual representation on the user interface that logs 'new instances' of what's being monitored.

No Gab (or any other) log-in credentials required. GrpMon runs on publicly accessible/available information via the public facing pages at Gab.com.

More details on availability time frame coming soon...

| February 23, 2019 | Added a 'Gab Resources' area to the web site.

GabMon Status: Currently upgrading the 'Quick Gab' feature to accommodate the newer 3k character limit  allowed by Gab, adding a character count feature and allowing for in-app editing of the pre-defined 'Quick Gab'. These changes will be included in the next update moving to GabMon 3.2 and will also allow for creating new Gabs prior to opening Gabs post composer (in edit mode). Ever lost a Gab you were composing by accident? Happened to me.

| February 17, 2019 |  Updated GabMon to version 3.1 (now functions on .com based services)
More information and site updates coming soon. Download

| December 13, 2018 | Updated version of GmM5 now available here.

| December 5, 2018 |

G.U.A.L. now updated to version 1.1 and functioning on the new .com domain of Gab.

GmM5 has also been updated and is available.

Updating of the core software GabMon3 will begin soon.

| December 1, 2018 |

GmM5v.1.1 is now available from the 'PlugIns' area. From here I'll be moving on to updating the G.U.A.L. (Gab User Activity Logger) plugin and then on to the GabMon3 base code.

| November 29, 2018 |

After Gabs recent de-platforming by site registrars, hosts and third party services, much of the GabMon software began to experience data type mismatch errors after Gab was brought back online under the also recently acquired .com domain. I have isolated the function that needs to be updated and have begun updating GmM5 first, mainly because it's rather useful as Gab is still w/o a payment processor that allows new users to go 'Pro' version of Gab. You can read more about that specific plug-in on the GmM5 page under the 'Plug-Ins' directory at left.

Best to all...

| February 27, 2018 |

Release of GmM5 (Gabmon Multi.) for download in the Plugins area of site. This plugin allows non-Pro Gabbers to monitor up to 5 other users for new posts/comments/quotes. If new content is detected it will alert you, as it checks for new content once per minute.
NOTE: As of this time GUAL is also available as a stand alone program from main PlugIns page.

More info available on its plugin page...

| February 6, 2018 |

GabMon 3.0 is released and available for download. This final update to GabMons first Alpha release may be the last "feature" update to the core code base of GabMon for quite some time. Though may get updates to the interface at some point, so keep checking occasionally for updates just in case.

More information concerning this release and the inclusion of the first official GabMon 'PlugIn' GUAL (ghoul) can be found on the Changelog and PlugIns pages.

Enjoy the software and new PlugIn!

| January 31, 2018 |

Today Gab began implementing a new feature for 'Pro' users, the ability to 'favorite/star' other user profiles and then be alerted/notified when that user makes a new post.

I don't fault Gab in the least for assigning this feature to 'Pro' users only, as they certainly deserve a little more than those of us who do not contribute financially, for whatever reason.
The feature is a good incentive for those who can afford the 'Pro' package and I hope it draws in more people to upgrade to 'Pro' membership.

That being said, my Gab experience will continue to be that of a 'non-Pro' user. Whether or not any consider me a contributor, I suppose is up to each to decide on their own. I will continue to develop GabMon in an attempt to help 'non-Pro' users acquire a little better experience via free third party software. Though, it will remain limited so as not to impose on the incentive of new features for 'Pro' members.

For instance, at some point I'll implement the ability for GabMon users to be able to monitor more than one other user for new posts notifications, but it may be limited to 5-10 users, while the Gab 'Pro' membership has no limitations that I've been made aware of at this point. I have no desire to impose on the incentives for Gab to grow as a platform financially via 'Pro' features and membership.

Gab has been an awesome experience for me and I like the platform very much. I wish to see it grow as much as anyone. With that in mind, GabMon was never meant to be any kind of 'monetized content', and so it will never be monetized. My hope is that it simply helps to keep the platform interesting and enables 'non-Pro' users to have a little more engaged experience.

If you're a GabMon user, look for an update in the coming weeks...

Keep on Gabbin'!

| January 16, 2018 |

As of yesterday and the release of GM v 2.2 (beta) I've decided that the core functions of GabMon are almost to a point where I can simply extend and build on top of said core coding.

With the above mentioned in mind, the future of GabMons development will basically center around refinement and cleaning up some of the code for better end user functionality. My goal is to implement a plug-in system in the update (2.3beta) and include a plug-in with the update to test the system. After a couple weeks worth of feed back here on the 2.2 beta (if I get much) I'll get started on the next update to include the plug-in system and a plug-in.

Feel free to contact me with any suggestions/comments/bug reports etc. via the contact link here on site or a DM/Chat on Gab.

Thanks for taking the time to look around and test drive the software!
